Position: Technical Illustrator/Computer Graphics Artist
My work at Overload Publications as a Technical Illustrator has been producing
artwork for technical publications and vu-graph presentations using Macintosh,
DEC and Sun workstations. Frequently I would be assigned to oversee small
groups of Illustrators to coordinate projects and make sure artwork conformed
to specifications. Typical artwork would include isometric drawings, perspectives,
block diagrams, schematics, presentation graphics, charts and graphs for
a wide variety of aerospace companies (Rocketdyne, JPL, Bendix Oceanics,
AiResearch, Hughes MSD, Raytheon and Litton G&CS). Software used included
MacDraw II, Canvas, Cricket Draw, Aldus Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Pagemaker,
PowerPoint, Interleaf Publisher and Microsoft Word. We also prepared artwork
by traditional methods (inking, paste-up, camera work).

I also shared the management of our three bay auto repair shop with my partner.

our mechanics and maintaining quality control, preparing repair estimates
and dealing with our customers.
